Websites for practitioners who care for the whole person
I am Bernice Ebenezer, a brand and Webflow designer based in Gilbert, Arizona. I design websites for therapists and mental health practitioners, integrative and herbal practitioners, and established doctors and specialists.
People whose name is their credential, and whose work is about caring for people.
Where I come from
My family's Ayurvedic practice began more than 100 years ago in Trichy, South India. My great-grandfather, Dr. Ayyathurai Mathuram, founded Guru Medical Hall and formulated his medicines with precision, following Ayurvedic methods, for the patients who came to his clinic. His remedies traveled as far as Colombo, Burma, Singapore and Penang.
Today my father, Dr. Samuel A. Mathuram, a surgeon by profession, carries those same formulations forward under the name Mathurams Guru®.
I grew up in Trichy, in a house where the factory sat inside our compound. The air smelled of Guru Thylam, our pain balm. Warm, sharp menthol, rising from huge pots over the fire.
My father traveled to buy the ingredients himself, and he measured every quantity early in the morning, before the workers came in. Thylam was the first thing we reached for when someone was unwell. It is still in my home today, for my own children.
Why I work with practitioners
I did not become a doctor. I became an engineer, and then a designer. My very first website was for our family business.
Not long after, I met Dr. Rosari Kingston, a medical herbalist in Ireland who believes, as my family does, that the body needs to be looked at as a whole. I understood her world without needing it explained.
Since then I have worked with therapists, psychologists, medical herbalists, a spine surgeon, a pediatric dentist and a healthcare CEO. They practice very differently, but they share something I grew up with. They look at the whole person, not just the problem in front of them. That is who I build for.

When I am not designing, you will find me crocheting, playing guitar or on a long walk. I love a good movie, time with my family, and discovering new places that inspire my creativity.
